Two of the top teams in the IMC, #3 Redmond Panthers (4-1) and #7 Summit Storm (4-1) will face each other this Friday at Summit H.S.
The game will be broadcast live on PlayActionSportsMedia.com at 6:30 PM.
The Storm are lead by Jr QB John Bledsoe who took over the starting role midway though last year and has a 107.6 qb rating with 1,007 yards passing and 9 TDs and 1 INT.
FB Jacob Thompson has had touchdowns in each of the last two games, showing a downhill running style which has resulted in some long runs, averaging 9.3 yards a scamper.
For Redmond, the offense is driven by the hard-running style of RB Derrick Brown, who picked up 340 yards against then #1 ranked Bend H.S. and already has racked up 1,375 yards on the ground this season.
Look for lanky speedseter Alani Troutman to be a primary target int he passing game. Trouhtman is a threat to score every time he touches the ball averaging 29.3 yards per reception this year.
On defense, LB and team captain Nick Aamodt follows in his big brother and former Ridgeview Raven Coleman Aamodt’s footsteps, in being one of the most punishing tacklers in the IMC.
The Storm and Panthers have both had a very strong start to their year, and won their first IMC match ups.
Summit started the year with back to back victories at Pendleton 62-13 and at home against Franklin 65-7, but then after losing TE Cam McCormick, they lost in a close one to Ashland 15-14.
The Storm bounced back with a squeaker against Marist 14-13 (see an archived copy of the game here) and last week they dominated Mt. View 55-3 (see an archived copy of the game here).
The Panthers opened the season with a blow out win as well, going on the road to take down Franklin 64-27. However they lost their home opener against Mazama 14-6.
Since then, the Panthers have posted 3 convincing wins in a row, on the road against Baker 4-19, at home against Hood River Valley (51-8) and last week to open the IMC schedule against then #1 ranked Bend 40-7.
