Field Certification Workshop
Learn the basics of filmmaking and how to shoot awesome videos on your own.
Participants will learn editing, storyline structure, filmmaking techniques, the dos and don’s of making videos, how to use equipment, and get feedback on videos they create. The capstone project is up to the participant — either a Public Service Announcement or a News Package of between 2-5 minutes in length.
Participants who complete all five workshops will be “Field Certified For Life” and eligible to freely check out video equipment from RVTV including cameras, microphones, tripods, and much more. Field Certified Producers are also welcome to use our Digital Commons computer editing lab to bring their projects to life (so long as they are first-run on RVTV Voices).
The first workshop in the series is on Saturday, April 7 from 12-2pm, and classes continue at the same time on April 14, 21, 28 and May 12.
