Start Time of Playoff Game Pushed Back
The start time of the Rogues first playoff game against the Lincoln Potters has been pushed back to 7:45pm. The decision was made by Great West League Commissioner Ken Wilson at 10:00am today.
The U.S. Weather Service is predicting possible difficult air quality from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm today. Last night, conditions were playable by around 8:00 pm.
“The safety of our players and fans will always come first as we try to safely begin this best-of-three series against the Potters,” said Rogues COO Dave May. “We’d like to thank the U.S. Weather Service for working so closely with us these past few weeks as we navigate around the smoke and poor air conditions.”
The GWL Championship Series will start on Wednesday, August 8 at the home of the winner of the Lincoln-Medford series, with the game starting at 6:35 pm. Game #2 will be at Chico on Thursday, August 9 (7:05 pm), while the deciding Game #3, if needed, will be at Chico on Friday, August 10 (7:05 pm).
“We have three terrific teams moving into the post-season,” said Wilson. “This will be a great show for our fans.”
