Notes: Clackamas, last year’s champion, lost much of its offensive firepower but should have a stifling defense, led by Oregon State-bound lineman Kelsen Hennessy. … Central Catholic is loaded with experienced junior skill players in quarterback Cade Knighton, running backs Elijah Elliott and Miles Jackson and receivers Silas Starr and Kalvin Souders. … Sheldon has two of the state’s top senior recruits in quarterback Michael Johnson Jr. and tight end Patrick Herbert, who have committed to Penn State and Oregon, respectively. … Jesuit has a third-year starter at quarterback in senior Will Spitznagel. … West Linn senior quarterback Ethan Long has committed to Arizona State. … West Salem is led by Oregon State-bound athlete Anthony Gould.
