Falcons Take Bizarre Battle With Cougars
Turner – In a non-conference matchup of one-time Capital Conference foes who have more than a little history between them, 5A La Salle out-scored 4A Cascade 41-30 in a game that had more twists and turns, and strange plays and calls, than one often sees in an entire month of football.
Cascade opened the game with a 65 yard drive, capped by Ethan Coffey’s 1 yard touchdown run, but had an apparently successful 2 point conversion run from an odd bunch left formation negated because they had only 10 players on the field.
La Salle quarterback Ethan Edgerly quickly answered, with a 40 yard touchdown pass to James Menor, and shortly thereafter with a 52 yard run that set up a 20 yard touchdown toss to Casey Green to put the Falcons up 14-6 as the first quarter wound down.
