Philomath had the upper position for most of the match against Seaside Saturday night, in what looked more like the 4A Wrestling Championship matches than the OSAA 4A Basketball Championship, but Seaside rallied from as down by as many as 11 points on 5 different occasions, and still behind by 9 at the start of the 4th quarter, to within 2 points with 2 1/2 minutes left.
The Warriors went on a 10-2 run to close out the 55-45 win, and claim their second title in three years though.
Considering Philomath starts 4 juniors, and isn’t the typical veteran bunch that pulls out wins in ugly situations, that qualified the effort as what Warrior head coach
