Summit needs just one win to secure their second straight playoff berth with third year Head Coach Joe Padilla.
Big plays and turnovers highlighted the scoring later in the game after both teams, who typically run the ball, pounded on each other inside the tackles.
It was a stalemate early on, and the only score of the 1st half came with 8:32 left in the 2nd quarter, when Summit QB John Bledsoe (So. 6-2/185) ran it in from 4 yards out. Storm led 7-0.
Bledsoe finished the game 13 of 26 for 153 yards, and 1 TD pass. But, also had 2 end zone Interceptions nabbed both by Tanner Oneal off the Ravens.

On the next series, Ridgeview QB Jacob Johnson (Sr. 6-4/220) was picked off by Kent, but on the return the Ravens offense was able to force a fumble, and Ridgeview WR Dakota Curtis (Sr. 6-0 185) recovered the ball.

The Ravens responded with 2 TD’s of their own to tie it up going into the final quarter, 14-14.

But Summit took the lead in the 4th quarter when WR Kyle Cornett (So. 6-1/160) returned a punt for a 55 yard TD, giving Summit a 21-14 lead with 7:25 left..
“It was just planned out, I saw a hole open up and I busted it” said Cornett “I had a couple lead blocks and I followed their rear ends and took it to the house.”
Cornett, the ‘Sun Mountain Fun Center Player of the Game,’ wasn’t done there, as he and Bledsoe linked up for 23 yards and a TD in the final Storm possession, making it 28-14 after the successful PAT.
