The Storm started the year with blowout wins at #21 Pendleton 62-13, and at home against 6A #34 Franklin 65-7.

But during practice, after the 2nd win, their starting TE and future Oregon Duck Cam McCormmick tore his ACL, and will be out for 6 months.

This took away one of Jr. QB John Bledsoe’s favorite targets, and the offensive jugernaut of the Summit storm petered out against #3 Ashland last Friday, when the Storm lost on the road 15-14.

The #25 Marist Spartans come into the game sporting a 2-1 record.

They won their fist game of the year against 6A #39 Thurston 34-16, then lost at #4 Silverton 48-21, and blew out 4A #29 North Bend 47-0 at home last week.

The Storm will rely heavily on the leadership of John Bledsoe on the offensive side of the ball, but also from his brother Stu Bledsoe who plays safety for the Storm and has been referred to as the quarterback of the defense by coach Joe Padilla.

WR Sean Kent will be one of Bledsoe’s primary targets, he is quick and has good hands and along with Kyle Cornette and Nick Mason provide a solid range of targets for Bledsoe to connect with.

RB  Jason Garcia was injured most of last year, but the 3 sport star is back healthy and should see the lion’s share of the work out of the back field. He is a speed back with a quick first step and good vision.

Next week the Storm start IMC play, facing last years IMC Champ the Mt View Cougars at Mt View. You can watch the game live on PlayActionSportsMedia.com as well.
