RUSH JUST HAD TO BUTT IN ON THE BEAVERS

Ah shucks, golly geez, is that Rush Limbaugh again jumping in to talking College Football with the Beavers?

No, well yes, it was Rush, but not by design and certainly he wasn’t talking college football as Oregon State Head Coach Mike Riley, and members of the media were attempting to do so during the first of the season P12 ‘Coaches Conference Call.’

However, our Show accidentally had a gliche in attempting our first conference call in the new Show studios of FM 100.1 and Newstalk 1110 KBND.  Audio from Rush Limbaugh’s feed apparently bled in to the call which was not heard on our end, but was by those on the conference call.

In typical Mike Riley fashion, he displayed some humor, understanding, and graciousness in victory, or defeat to continue to answer our question.

I cringe at the thought of how this would have developed had it been former Oregon Coach Chip Kelly that we interrupted.

Thankfully it was Coach Riley who we sent an email apologizing for our blunder and may send him a Rush golden ‘EIB’ (Excellence in Broadcasting) microphone for Christmas.

Better yet, we would like to send Coach a dozen Roses for making the BCS Rose Bowl this season, instead.  Hip Hip Hooray!!  Hip Hip Hooray!!
