A former colleague of mine in southern Oregon, John Gaskins, has returned to where his career started in Lincoln, Nebraska to become the Program Director and whitty-clever minded mid-day host on The Ticket Fox Sports Radio 93.7 FM in Lincoln.
‘Gaskins and Stephens’ is the Show who we learn more about who was involved in the rant by Nebraska Head Football Coach Bo Pelini which became public Monday from when it happened two years ago.
Gaskins, like many, takes offence to Bo dissing on Cornhusker fans, and attacking a member of the media. Hear what John knows and tells us, and how former legendary Coach Tom Osborne saved the day with this idiotic behavior by Pelini.

| An Omaha native and UNL graduate, John Gaskins helped launch The Ticket in August 2011 and has enjoyed life back in Lincoln covering the Huskers. John co-hosts “Gaskins & Stephens” from 11am-2pm and The Husker Legends Show with Adrian Fiala from 2-3pm. He is also The Ticket’s program director and primary high school football and basketball play-by-play game announcer. From 1997-2005, John covered Husker sports for various radio, TV, and print outlets, including KLKN-TV, the Lincoln Journal-Star, and Big Red Report magazine. He has also worked as a sports radio and television commentator in Oregon and Minnesota, and won the South Dakota Associate Press Award for his play-by-play work during his three years in Sioux Falls before coming full circle back to Lincoln. | |
