One of Blazer fans most liked players over 40-years of Portland Trailblazer basketball is no doubt #25 Jerome Kersey.
Jerome joined our Show after a wine-tasting trip (#PlugnPinot) near Dundee, Oregon and talked about the NBA Playoffs.
Kersey played with the Blazers from 1984-1995 helping lead the Blazers to 2 NBA Finals series.
The former 2nd Round draft pick went to play for 5 other teams, the Warriors, Lakers, Sonics, Spurs and Milwaukee. He won an NBA Title with San Antonio in 1999. Kersey retired from the NBA after 18 seasons in 2001.
Jerome is at the top of many Blazer statistical categories as he is 5th all-time in Scoring, and 2nd in Rebounding. The Longwood College of Virginia graduate ranks 3rd in franchise Steals, 5th in Blocked Shots, and 8th in Assists.
The affable Kersey is currently working with Comcast Sports Network Northwest (CSNNW) ‘Talking Ball’ in Portland after Blazer games.
He offers his opinion of the Playoffs, and also tips us on who he thinks will be key for the Blazers to win Game-3.
Cheers to Jerome and the great guy he is, and we’ll have a glass of Vino, or Pino when we catch him on TV after the game.
Thanks Cousin Kersey! Mercy, Mercy….it is Jerome Kersey!
