They called him ‘Texas’ when he starred and help lead Mt. View HS Cougars (Bend) to the OSAA State Football Title in 2011.
‘Texas,’ is Chad Bach, a former All-State Lineman now trying to crack the starting lineup for the Portland State Vikings this fall. PSU finsihed 6-6 overall in 2013, and 3-5 in League.
Bach, who is a red-shirt freshman will conclude spring practice this weekend when the Vikings hold their annual spring scrimmage game Sunday night at 5pm at Hillsboro Stadium
His Vikings teammate offensive Lineman Mitchell Van Dyk was just selected in the NFL Draft in the 7th round by the St. Louis Rams.
The Viks open the 2014 season in Corvallis taking on the Oregon State Beavers on August 30th. Nigel Burton returns for his 5th year as Head Coach at PSU.
