The Braves went in to Thursday (12/21/17) night’s game looking to hold the top spot in 4A Boys Basketball as they took on Estacada.
With the Braves having a 6-0 record, and Estacada sitting at 1-4, on paper it looked like a cake walk. The Rangers played good enough defense to stay in the game early though.
The Rangers actually held a 17-16 lead shortly into the second quarter, but from that point outon, it was if a Ranger was caught in the jaws of a shark who had tightened its bite. In the final 2 1/2 quarters Banks outscored Estacada an incredible 61-9 including a third quarter that saw the Rangers only offense come on a made free throw.
