Four rushing touchdowns secured North Bend’s place in history.
HILLSBORO, OR – Two undefeated stepped onto the field Saturday knowing one thing for sure: One would stay undefeated and one would not. After 48 minutes of football through downpours, North Bend proved they were perfect, as they rolled over Cottage Grove 35-21 Saturday night to win the 4A Championship.
The coin flip went in favor of Cottage Grove (11-1, 5-0 Sky-Em League, 3-1 Playoffs) and they made the most of it. A nearly 4-minute drive was capped off by a 2-yard touchdown rush by senior running back Zane Levings. North Bend (11-0, 5-0 Far West League, 4-0 Playoffs) tried to come up with an answer but got stalled near midfield.
