Cougars Answer Quarterfinal Questions Against Lancers
Roseburg – Defending OSAA 4A State Champion Cascade advanced to the semi-finals with a 34-21 win over South Umpqua Friday night. In the process, the Cougars also avenged an 8-7 loss to the Lancers in the teams’ last meeting, in a semi-final game 35 years ago in then Parker Stadium at Oregon State.
Even though the Cougars led wire to wire, the evening was really about Cascade constantly responding to a variety of disadvantageous circumstances that kept arising.
