A massive running attack by Clackamas secures a trip not seen in 13 years
CLACKAMAS, OR – The Clackamas Cavaliers did what they do best on Friday night: win, by any means possible. Through a run heavy offense and a defense that just wouldn’t quit, they were able to knock off the Beaverton Beavers 29-21.
Things did not look promising for Clackamas early. 4th seeded Beaverton (9-3, 6-1 Metro, 2-1 Playoffs) opened the scoring early with a 19 yard run by senior running back Anthony Albright with 9:48 left in the first. 5th seeded Clackamas (10-2, 6-1 Mt. Hood Conference, 3-0 Playoffs) decided they were done being shut out, so junior running back Nick Vaughn scored from 3 yards out.
