Kelley Lynch is flat-out incredible.
She put together an unreal season on the diamond, batting .436 with three home runs and 25 RBIs. Kelley is also a force to be reckoned with on the mound, where she stifles opponents with a truly impressive 236-to-13 strikeout-to-walk ratio, a 17-0 record, and a 0.27 ERA in 105.1 innings pitched! With these stellar stats in tow, it’s no wonder she led East Coweta High School (Georgia) to an amazing 32-2 season, which culminated in a state title.
Kelley is a star in the classroom, where she maintains an A average. She is also heavily involved in academic organizations, such as the National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the National Beta Club.
Even with all these commitments, Kelley finds time to give back to her community. Volunteering for organizations like the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program and the Coweta County Special Olympics, her presence is felt in many corners of her community. Described by her teachers as a “responsible, caring role model,” it is clear that Kelley’s dedication to everything she does is an inspiration to those around her.
With such outstanding talent on the field of play, exceptional success in the classroom, and unflinching dedication to serving her community, it’s no wonder that Kelley Lynch has been named the 2018-2019 Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year!
