Rogues Cap Off 13 Game Stretch with Win

The Medford Rogues (15-2) defeated the Reno Rams (5-6) 4-1 on Sunday night at Harry & David Field.

On the final game of a 13-game stretch, Rogue nation came out in droves to support their team on Superhero Night.

Pitchers Gilbert Romero (Chico State), Aaron Hutchinson (Campellsville University), Trae Perkins (Feather River College), and Dylan Myers (Western Oregon University) combined to allow just one run to the Rams.

Brice Foster (Menlo College) laid down a suicide squeeze in the fourth inning to score Joe Johnson (Vanguard University) for the first run of the game.

Johnny Radomskiy (Presentation College) singled with one out in the seventh to kick off five consecutive hits and a three-run inning to retake the lead.

The Rogues will take a much-deserved two-day break before returning to Harry & David Field on Wednesday to kick off a five game homestand.

This Wednesday, June 19th, the Medford Rogues will host an American Sign Language (ASL) culture night at Harry & David Field, the first of its kind.

This event came about as an idea from Corey McArthur, Rogues Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator, who is what ASL culture refers to as a ‘CODA’ (Child of Deaf Adult).

For the event, we have reached out to an ASL Professor at Southern Oregon University, Steve Wasserman, to bring the ASL/Deaf community to Harry & David Field and build a connection with the Medford Rogues and the Rogue Valley.

During the game, there will be two interpreters present who will translate all the PA reads for any fans who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing fans that understand Sign Language. The national anthem will be performed in Sign Language, and throughout the game we will share ASL/Deaf culture fun facts, and anecdotes.

There will be a 50/50 raffle to support Crater High School’s Deaf Academic Bowl team.

Any and all who are interested in the ASL community and their culture are encouraged to come out to Harry & David Field to be a part of the event.

If you would like to support Crater’s Deaf Academic Bowl team, or would like more information about this event, contact Corey McArthur at Corey@MedfordRogues.com to purchase tickets that will benefit their team.
