MEDFORD, Ore. – The Rogues loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning but couldn’t bring the tying run home; they fall to the Chico Heat, 6-5.

Cole Carder (University of California, Berkeley) came up with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rogues down by one. He hit a soft grounder to the third baseman Wyatt Branch. Branch fired home for the force out. The throw was wide, but catcher Trenton Stowe extended to make the catch and kept his foot on home plate.

The Rogues have the day off tomorrow before returning to Harry & David Field for Red, White, and Blue Night against the Klamath Falls Gems on Tuesday, July 3rd, which will feature a post-game fireworks show!

Tuesday home games are just $2 for bleacher tickets, courtesy of SportClips.

Medford native, Great West League Champion, Rogues all-time leader in strikeouts and innings pitched, and 2018 College World Series Champion Dylan Pearce, who pitched for the Oregon State Beavers during their Championship run, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Oregon State Beavers head coach Pat Casey joined Rogues voice Jonathan Kurman on the broadcast for an inning to talk about recruiting, scouting, and life after winning the 2018 College World Series.
