Rogues Retaliate, Split Series with Seals
ALAMEDA, Ca. – Five errors by the Seals allowed the Rogues to score 10 runs on just seven hits to defeat the San Francisco Seals, 9-2.
Starter Bobby Voortmeyer didn’t need the run support, he scattered eight hits, struck out six, and allowed just two earned runs over seven innings of work.
In the fifth inning, the Rogues lead 2-1. A ground ball to the shortstop Chad Pike was cut off by third baseman Blake Baumgartner, who did a 360 before firing over to 1st base to retire the runner.
Cole Carder extending his hitting streak to nine games.
