As if last week’s battle and 14-12 win with Ridgeview HS wasn’t exciting enough, Klamath Union went down to the wire hosting the Summit Storm (Bend) and falling short 28-22.
It was a scoreless tie at halftime, but both teams saved the best for last as you will hear by listening the replay of the 4th quarter. With the win, Summit improves to 2-1, while the Pels drop to 1-2.
Tyler Mullen scored on a 15-yard pass from Bransen Reynolds with just 14-seconds left in the game to lead Summit to the win.
Reynolds finished by completing 16 of 29 passes for 210 yards, and more importantly he threw for 3 TD passes to Mullen in the final frame.
Then, Mullen also completed 3 of 11 pass for 70 yards a the helm of the Storm offense. One was a 63-yard hookup with Josh Cherry for the games first score.
