In the weeks leading up to our 2017 Top 10 Sports Stories & Awards Banquet on February 8th, we’ll be featuring the local athletes who have been nominated for Athlete of the Year.
Meet Dylan Wu, a former St. Mary’s two-time golf state champion. As a junior at Northwestern, he was semifinalist for the Jack Nicklaus national player of the year award. He earlier was a unanimous selection to the Big Ten first team and won the conference’s individual scoring title. Wu won two tournaments, giving him three overall, and made it to the round of 32 in the U.S. Amateur.
