**Game of the Week: The 32nd ranked Willamette Wolverines at the 3rd ranked North Medford Black Tornado.
Why: North Medford is the third ranked team in the state and has won it’s last eight games after dropping four of it’s first six. Willamette has won it’s last three conference games and is currently at the top of the Southwest Conference (SWC).
A look at the numbers: North Medford has an overall record of 10-4 and 2-0 in SWC play. They are second in the SWC in points scored, 850 points (60.7/GM) and have allowed the fourth fewest points, 796 points (56.9/GM). Willamette has a record of 7-6 overall and 3-0 in the SWC. They have scored 655 points (50.4/GM) on the year and have allowed the third fewest points in conference, 652 (50.2/GM).
Prediction: Our prediction is a North Medford victory 58-49 over Willamette. It’ll be a close game throughout, however North Medford has to much offensive power for Willamette to hold off. Too add to an explosive offense, North Medford has more experience with six seniors and four juniors compared to Willamette’s four seniors and five juniors. The player to watch in this one will be North Medford’s 6-foot-1 wing Kaison Faust. He is averaging 16 points, six and a half rebounds, two assists and one and a half steals a game. Talk about a stat sheet stuffer. Faust is coming off a 30-point outting in his last game against South Eugene. Game can be found at Table Rock Sports.
