The defending GWL Champion Medford Rogues have announced the signing of Australian pitchers Jarod Large and Mitchell Neunborn. Both pitchers attend North Iowa Area CC and are from Perth, Western Australia.

Jarod Large saw time as both a starter and in the bullpen for the NIACC Trojans last season. In 11 appearances (which includes six starts), Large was 2-0 with a 3.63 ERA and 41 strikeouts over 44.2 innings. He allowed only 18 walks and notched two saves under his belt as well. Large also spent time at the prestigious MLB Academy in Australia. “I can’t wait for the season to commence,” said Large. “I’m excited to continue pursuing my dream of playing at a top D1 College like Oregon State University.” As a member of the Perth Heat, Large led his team to a Gold and two Silver medals at the Australian National Championships.

Mitchell Neunborn appeared in only three games last season but struck out a whopping nine batters in 5.2 innings pitched before Tommy John surgery ended his season prematurely. Neunborn can swing a bat as well. In 2017 he was named to the 2nd Team All-Region for NJCAA Region XI as the Designated Hitter. He had 52 hits, 11 doubles, 13 home runs, 39 RBI, and 2 stolen bases in 47 games as a shortstop for the Trojans. He rocked a triple slash of .331/.435/.662 in the 2016-17 season. “I can’t wait to get over to Medford and help bring another championship to the valley!” said Neunborn.
