Racing on 2 wheels has been a passion Josh Hill has had since he was 4.
Twenty years later that passion and desire has made him a living on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Tour where last week in Houston he won his first Heat race in over a year.
There are 2 races left on the 17 event circuit after Seattle Saturday night.
Hill is trying to become a regular “on the box” as they say, and make the podium Top-3 at each Show.
Hill, and his brother Justin grew up in Oregon and have ties to La Center, Washington, and Yoncalla, Oregon.
Josh, 25, rides the #75 Suzuki RM-Z450 in the 450SX class sponsored by RCH/Soaring Eagle/Suzuki (@JosHill75) and is currently in 10th place overall.
Justin, who made the Monster Tour in 2013 mounts the #35 Kawasaki in the 250SX division. Justin turns 19 on May 7th. The younger Hill is currently 4th in the Points Championship race.
The Hills may not be living room names like Tiger, Jordan, or Montana, but they are popular young rising talent in the Supercross dirt circles.
Certainly Josh has paid his dues to be hired by one of the premier top racers of all time in Ricky Carmichael.
Hear how a serious wreck nearly ended Hill’s career and opportunity to ride for Carms interests and life on the Monster Tour.
Justin claimed the 250 heat race win in Seattle Saturday night, and Josh finished 6th in the Heat race, but won Semi-1 race in the 450 class.
Baby bro went on to finish 3rd in the Seattle main event. Big bro ran a solid Top-10 finishing 9th place.
The Monster tour takes Easter weekend off, then travels to New Jersey before coming back out west April 26th for the season finale at Las Vegas May 3rd.
