There is no substitute for hard work, determination, and being ready when opportunity knocks.
Summit High School (Bend, Or.) Asst. Football Coach Adam Treu (3rd year) can certainly attest to that as the Nebraska native had the opportunity to play 10-years in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders.
Included in Treu’s resume is a start at Center in Superbowl XXXVII when the Raiders fell to Tampa Bay in San Diego.
The 37-year old started his football days as a walk-on under Head Coach Tom Osborne at Nebraska. Treu and the Cornhuskers won back-to-back National Championships in 1994 & 1995 starting with the Big Red as a Tackle.
For his hard work and dedication, he was rewarded as a 3rd Round draft pick of the Raiders, and later found himself starting in the Superbowl with less then 24-hour notice.
