SUMMIT TAKES DOWN DEFENDING CHAMP SHERWOOD TO REACH TITLE GAME

Summit advances to its first-ever Title game where the #1 Storm (25-5) will face Wilson of Portland.  Summit is also the first central Oregon upper-level team to play for a Championship in 25-years.

Bend won the Title in 1987.  The Lava Bears battled Wilson in the other 5A Semifinal today, and fell, 3-2 in 10-innings.

CRUZ MINGUS BUNT PLAY

The OSAA U.S.Bank/Les Schwab Tires State Baseball Championships will be televised online at www.ossa.org.

On Friday, Santiam Christian will face Cascade Christian of Medford for the 3A title, and Kennedy meets Weston McEwen for the combined 1A/2A Championship.

Saturday features a tripleheader with the 4A Title tilt leading off.  At 10am, Hidden Valley of south Grants Pass county area meets Ontario.  Summit faces Wilson for the 5A Title at 1p. 

And, Oregon City battles Thurston for the 6A Crown at 4p.  All games are played at Volcanoe Stadium in Keizer, just north of Salem.
