Ula Chamberlain and the South Medford Panthers have two returning players from last year’s Southwest Conference championship team. However, that hasn’t stopped this stud guard from leading her Lady Panthers to a 9-7 overall record and 2-1 league record (second in the conference). Chamberlain earned all-state honorable mention last year and lead her team to a state tournament appearance at the Chiles Center in Portland. Her play this year could lead her to more state honors, averaging 17.5 points and 5 assists. She also has some big hopes for her South Medford team, “This year we still are capable of winning the conference… We want to win playoffs and go to state again.”
